Language Developments

  1. I thought haiku and tanka would disappear if English became an official language in Japan.

    Then, Japanese special sensibility of words will disappear and the national character may change.

  2. i think japanese is difficult to translate in English , especially about buddism. i can't transrate "jyoucho." i can't tell the nuance.

  3. I think Japanese culture conect strongly to language, like Haiku. We can't make a beautiful Haiku in English. So, Japanese is very important for Japanese culture.

  4. If English is national language, there are no effect on us.

    But there are effect on Japanese culture, for example haiku and so on...

    I can express my feeling without Japanese.

  5. I think the language is very important for the culture. If the language is change, the culture will also change.

    So I think we should protect our language, Japanese.

  6. We have peculiar language by each county. Therefore, I think that we have some expressions which we can’t translate for other country’s language. ‘Keigo’, words that we use for senior, it is peculiar Japanese expression

  7. I couldn't think about those words in Japanese but insted of that, I think "miss you" can't translated into Japanese.

    I noticed that that's why we have some misunderstaning between different culture people when we comunicate.
